Abstract

"BARREIRA DE TúNEL PARA CONTROLAR O MOVIMENTO DE UM ELéTRON ATRAVéS DE UM MATERIAL TERMOELéTRICO, DISPOSITIVO TERMOELéTRICO E MéTODO PARA PRODUZIR O DISPOSITIVO TERMOELéTRICO". Na presente invenção, é apresentado um método que bloqueia o movimento de elétrons de baixa energia através do material termoelétrico. Isto foi obtido através do uso desse filtro que é mais transparente para os elétrons de energia elevada do que para aqueles de baixa energia. A barreira de túnel na trajetória dos elétrons é utilizada como o filtro. O filtro trabalha na base das propriedades das ondas dos elétrons. A geometria da barreira de túnel é tal que a barreira se torna transparente para os elétrons que têm um determinado comprimento de onda de Broglie. Se a geometria da barreira for tal que o seu comprimento de onda da transparência combina com o comprimento de onda dos elétrons de energia elevada, ela será transparente para os elétrons de energia elevada e estará bloqueando aqueles de baixa energia por meio da barreira de túnel.
