Abstract

"SINALIZAçãO PARA LOCALIZAR E RASTREAR TERMINAIS SEM FIO". A presente invenção apresenta um método de um equipamento para facilitar a localização e rastreamento de um terminal sem fio, que pode ser usado vantajosamente para serviço E-911. O terminal pode ser comandado a transmitir uma sinalização para certos eventos, tal como em relação a uma chamada 911. Uma sinalização tem um formato específico conhecido pela rede sem fio, e pode ser transmitido periodicamente ou continuamente. A sinalização pode ser transmitida usando vários esquemas. Em um primeiro esquema, o terminal transmite a sinalização apenas quando ordenado para fazê-lo por uma entidade de rede designada (por exemplo, o PSAP). Em um segundo esquema, o terminal transmite a sinalização em conjunto a uma chamada 911, e é, em seguida, ordenado a terminar a transmissão de sinalização pela entidade de rede designada.
