Abstract
"PISOS DE RUìDO DINâMICOS EM UM DISPOSITIVO SEM FIO". Um dispositivo sem fio configurado para dar suporte a um protocolo de funcionamento em rede sem f io pode utilizar técnicas de processamento de sinais que podem mitigar os efeitos de sinais de interferência. Como exemplo, quando uma potência medida associada a uma amostra digital de um sinal sem fio recebido for maior que um limite, o dispositivo sem fio pode determinar se o sinal sem fio corresponde a um pacote de funcionamento em rede sem fio a ser demodulado. Caso o sinal sem fio não corresponda a um pacote de funcionamento em rede sem fio a ser demodulado, o dispositivo sem fio pode ajustar o limite de forma a que a potência associada à amostra digital seja menor que o limite. Dito de outra forma, caso o sinal seja um sinal de interferência, o dispositivo sem fio pode ajustar seu piso de ruído para cima de forma a que a recepção contínua do mesmo sinal de interferência não acione a demodulação por uma segunda vez."DYNAMIC NOISE FLOORS ON A WIRELESS DEVICE". A wireless device configured to support a wireless networking protocol can utilize signal processing techniques that can mitigate the effects of interference signals. As an example, when a measured power associated with a digital sample of a received wireless signal is greater than a threshold, the wireless device may determine if the wireless signal corresponds to a wireless network packet to be demodulated. If the wireless signal does not correspond to a wireless network packet to be demodulated, the wireless device may adjust the threshold so that the power associated with the digital sample is less than the threshold. In other words, if the signal is an interference signal, the wireless device can adjust its noise floor upwards so that continuous reception of the same interference signal does not trigger demodulation a second time.
