Abstract

"MéTODO DE EXPLORAçãO SìSMICA E APARELHO DE PROSPECçãO NO FUNDO DO OCEANO". Um método e aparelho são expostos para conduzir uma prospecção sísmica abaixo da superfície de uma massa de água e sobre o fundo do mar. Em uma modalidade uma pluralidade de receptores de dados sísmica é amovivelmente carregados em um suporte (15) localizado acima da superfície da água (11) e o suporte (15) é baixado no interior da água e disposto em uma profundidade relativamente próxima ao fundo do mar (17). Cada um dos receptores tem uma memória para gravar as vibrações do fundo do mar e tem um comutador para ativar a memória. Um ROV (20) é usado para descarregar os receptores do suporte (15) e depositar cada receptor <32> sobre o fundo do mar (17) e ao longo de uma linha de prospecção. Em uma modalidade, os receptores compreendem uma armação, um vaso de pressão para alojar a memória e controles remotamente ativados, e um geofone que é separadamente implantado no interior do fundo do mar a uma distância relativamente curta da armação.
