Abstract

"CONJUNTO DE MANCAL CENTRAL". Um conjunto de mancal central apóia de modo rotativo uma porção intermediária de um conjunto de eixo de transmissão veicular durante o uso. O conjunto de mancal central inclui uma braçadeira rígida, que é fixada a uma superfície de apoio do veículo, um elemento de suporte que é apoiado dentro da braçadeira rígida e um mancal anular que é apoiado dentro do elemento de suporte para apoiar de modo rotativo a porção intermediária do conjunto de eixo de transmissão veicular. O elemento de suporte é formado de um material resiliente e tem uma cavidade formada no mesmo. Uma pluralidade de bexigas é disposta dentro da cavidade formada no elemento de suporte. Cada uma das bexigas é cheia com uma quantidade de um fluido reológico. A comunicação de fluido entre pares adjacentes das bexigas é proporcionada pelas respectivas válvulas de controle. Um circuito de controle é previsto para seletivamente gerar e aplicar um campo de energia a cada uma das válvulas de controle, de modo a variar a capacidade do fluido reológico fluir através das mesmas entre pares de bexigas associados. Como resultado, as características de amortecimento de vibrações do elemento de suporte podem ser variadas.
