"SISTEMA DE IMPRESSORA DE LINGUAGEM DE MARCAçãO EXTENSìVEL (XML), SISTEMA DE PROCESSAMENTO DE XML PARA USO EM UM APARELHO DE IMPRESSORA DE CóDIGO DE BARRAS, E, MéTODO PARA GERAR UM RóTULO DE CóDIGO DE BARRAS EM UM SISTEMA DE IMPRESSORA DE XML". Um sistema de processamento de XML (10) para uso em um aparelho de impressora de código de barras (50) inclui um sistema de computador (12) acoplado operativamente ao aparelho de impressora de código de barras (50). O sistema de computador ademais inclui um processador de XML (70) configurado para receber, analisar e processar um fluxo de dados de entrada de XML e obter esquema (82) identificado no fluxo de dados de XML de um repositório de esquema. Também incluído é um processador de XSLT (74) configurado para obter um <39>stylesheet<39> (84) identificado no fluxo de dados de XML de um repositório de <39>stylesheet<39>. Também, um processador de XSLFO (78) formata os dados de XML transformados em dados de XML formatados baseado em instruções de XSLFO contidas no <39>stylesheet<39>. Um subsistema de renderização de código de barras (80) então recebe os dados de XML formatados e gera um mapa de bits representativo do rótulo de código de barras.
