Abstract

"MéTODOS PARA REGENERAR A FUNçãO DO PâNCREAS EM UM INDIVìDUO, PARA TRATAR O DIABETE EM UM PACIENTE HUMANO E PARA PRODUZIR CéLULA PANCREáTICA FUNCIONAL DE ANIMAL, CéLULA PANCREáTICA FUNCIONAL DE ANIMAL, USO DA MESMA, E, MéTODO PARA PRODUZIR CéLULA PANCREáTICA DE ANIMAL EM DIFERENTES ESTáGIOS DE DESENVOLVIMENTO". A invenção fornece um método para regenerar a função do pâncreas em um indivíduo, mediante o transplante de uma quantidade eficaz de células pancreáticas funcionais derivadas de células pancreáticas embriónicas não mais velhas do que 10 semanas de desenvolvimento. é igualmente fornecido o método para produzir célula pancreática animal funcional, mais precisamente uma linhagem de células beta humanas imortalizadas. A invenção também fornece um método de tratamento de diabéticos. Igualmente são fornecidas células beta pancreáticas como um medicamento para tratar de diabéticos.
