Abstract

"ESTABILIZADOR PARA UM ELEMENTO TUBULAR RADIALMENTE EXPANSìVEL". é descrito um estabilizador para estabilizar um elemento tubular radialmente expansível estendendo-se em um furo de poço em uma formação geológica. O estabilizador compreende um membro tubular radialmente expansível, selecionado a partir de uma seção do elemento tubular, e uma luva circundando o elemento tubular, e pelo menos um braço de estabilizador conectado ao membro tubular, cada braço sendo móvel de uma posição radialmente retraída para uma posição radialmente estendida pela ação de uma força de mola. O estabilizador compreende adicionalmente meios de travamento arranjados para travarem o braço na posição retraída quando o elemento tubular estiver na forina não-expandida e destravarem o braço pela expansão radial do membro tubular, de modo a permitir que o braço se mova para sua posição estendida.
