Abstract
"MéTODO E EQUIPAMENTO PARA REDUçãO DE CONSUMO DE POTêNCIA DE UM DECODIFICADOR EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO". São descritos um método e um equipamento para redução de consumo de potência de um decodificador em um sistema de comunicação. Em um sistema de comunicação comunicando um pacote, o pacote pode ser disposto ao longo de slots de um canal de comunicação de forma que cada slot seguindo o primeiro slot contenha bits redundantes do pacote com relação ao primeiro slot. Uma estação receptora estima a métrica de um slot recebido, determina um limite de métrica de qualidade, e delimita um intervalo de acordo com o limite de métrica de qualidade modificado. Se a métrica de qualidade estimada estiver fora do intervalo, o segmento é decodificado. O processo de decodificação compreende a delimitação de uma pluralidade de intervalos de acordo com o limite de métrica de qualidade, associando cada um dentre a pluralidade de intervalos com um dentre a pluralidade de parâmetros, determinando um intervalo a partir da pluralidade de intervalos dentro qual a métrica de qualidade estimada pertence; e decodificando o sinal recebido para um número de interações igual a um dentre uma pluralidade de parâmetros associados com o intervalo determinado. No curso do processo de decodificação, um critério de interrupção é avaliado, e o processo de decodificação é encerrado de acordo com o critério de interrupção.
