Essa seq³ência pode ser usada em plantas transgênicas para promover a expressão de genes endógenos e estranhos em raizes, para aumentar a resistência da planta a doenças e pragas, a tolerância a tensões (sal) e melhorar o valor nutritivo dé plantas de raízes comestíveis.
