"REGIãO REGULADORA DE GENE QUE PROMOVE TRANSCRIçãO ESPECìFICA EM RAIZ E USOS DA MESMA". Apresenta-se uma seq³ência de ácido nucléico que dirige a transcrição específica em raiz de genes contíguos em plantas. Essa seq³ência pode ser usada em plantas transgênicas para promover a expressão de genes endógenos e estranhos em raizes, para aumentar a resistência da planta a doenças e pragas, a tolerância a tensões (sal) e melhorar o valor nutritivo dé plantas de raízes comestíveis. Além disso, essa seq³ência pode ser útil para a produção de proteínas recombinantes em raízes destinadas a agricultura molecular e fitorremedição."GENE REGULATORY REGION PROMOTING SPECIFIC ROOT TRANSCRIPTION AND USES". A nucleic acid sequence that directs root specific transcription of contiguous genes in plants is presented. This sequence can be used in transgenic plants to promote the expression of endogenous and foreign genes in roots, to increase plant resistance to disease and pests, to tolerate stress (salt) and to improve the nutritive value of edible root plants. In addition, this sequence may be useful for the production of recombinant proteins in roots intended for molecular agriculture and phytoremediation.
