The present invention relates to a method for casting an intraocular implant from two dissimilar materials using disposable molds. The foundry molding method in question is particularly useful in producing intraocular lenses manufactured from dissimilar materials. It is desirable to produce intraocular lenses from dissimilar materials in order to optimize the optical characteristics of the optical portion of the intraocular lens and to optimize stability and flexibility characteristics of the intraocular lens haptics.
