Abstract
"DISPOSITIVO PARA FILTRAR ENERGIA RADIANTE EM UM LOCAL DE TRATAMENTO DENTRO DO CORPO DE UM MAMìFERO, MéTODO DE FILTRAR RADIAçãO PARA TRATAMENTO DE UM ALVO DENTRO DO CORPO DE UM MAMìFERO". A patente em questão trata de um sistema filtrante de energia incluindo um material filtrante de energia provido entre um material radioativo e um alvo de tratamento de modo que a energia radioativa seja filtrada. Numa materialização preferida, o material filtrante é provido na forma de uma camada de parede fina, como por exemplo uma micro-folha, uma micro-tela, uma mola enrolada de forma helicoidal, um filme, um revestimento ou discos empilháveis perpendiculares uns aos outros, entre outros, em uma ou mais localizações entre a fonte radioativa e um alvo de tratamento para filtrar a energia de radiação durante o tratamento. O material filtrante pode ser um material de alta densidade como por exemplo platina, aplicado ou incorporado numa estrutura de suporte entre o material radioativo e o alvo de tratamento.
