Abstract
"SISTEMA DE TUBULAçãO ISOLADA ".Um sistema de tubulação isolada inclui uma luva exterior (12), um tubo de fluxo interno (10) e um ou mais volumes evacuados (16) no espaço entre eles definido por tampões anulares (1) de uma composição polimérica de colocação, tal como resina epóxi ou uma espuma sintática, tipicamente a intervalos regulares ao longo do comprimento do oleoduto. As resinas epóxi (por exemplo) são idealmente de rigidez suficiente para permitir transferência efetiva de forças longitudinais entre os tubos interno e externo. Assim, os próprios volumes evacuados serão anulares. Outros tampões de orientação diferente (por exemplo, longitudinal) poderiam ser incluidos para subdividir os volumes evacuados ademais. Os tampões permitem o espaço entre os tubos ser dividido de forma que ar possa ser evacuado das seções, assim formadas para prover o vácuo que atua como a camada isolante. Também, os tampões substituem a necessidade por anteparos visto que a divisão do espaço entre tubos provê o meio de obstrução de água desejado. Um ou mais revestimentos (2,3) no interior da luva externa e/ou no exterior do tubo de fluxo interno podem ser providos, de um material que impede a difusão de hidrogênio ou outros gases no vácuo tanto da água circundante ou do petróleo transportado (6). O revestimento é tipicamente uma liga apropriada, por exemplo, liga de alumínio. Uma camisa de plástico também pode ser adequada. Preferivelmente, as superfícies de fechamento a vácuo são ou estão providas com um material refletivo. Isto minimizará transferência de calor irradiante. Outros revestimentos podem incluir revestimentos anticorrosão. O espaço entre tubos também pode conter substâncias químicas capazes de absorver gases (os chamados "captadores") que de outra forma tenderiam a se acumular dentro do vácuo.
