Abstract

FOR INORGANIC MATRIX REINFORCEMENT AS CEMENT, PLASTER AND CONCRETE MORTAR" The present invention relates to microfibers used for reinforcing cement, plaster, mortar or concrete, employable in various types of materials, such as construction, such as floors, tiles, water tanks, pipes, especially for sewage transportation. , among others. Particularly fiber-reinforced polyamide-based microfibers are characterized by having a titer of less than or equal to 1 dtex, elastic modulus greater than 1 GPa, elongation at break of about 8 to 40% and toughness ranging from approximately 30 to 100 cN / tex. The high modulus in these products increases their stress after breakage, resulting in higher ductility products. The fibers are spun with reduced melt flow into the capillary and then subjected to high draw rates to obtain high modulus and low titer fibers and may be further surface treated, such as coating with acrylic latex or the like to improve adhesion between the fibers. the fibers and the inorganic matrix.
