Um programa aplicativo para converter medições do espectrofotómetro nos computadores clientes em coordenadas de espaço de cor é colocado em um servidor. As medições de espectrofotêmetro são transmitidas para o programa aplicativo através de uma conexão cliente/servidor. O programa aplicativo converte as medições de espectrofotómetro em uma coordenada de espaço de cor e armazena os registros catalogados pela coordenada de espaço de cor em um banco de dados no servidor. O armazenamento de coordenadas de espaço de cor de substâncias corantes no servidor facilita o emparelhamento de compradores e vendedores em potencial. It is a system and method for selling coloring substances. An application program for converting spectrophotometer measurements on client computers to color space coordinates is placed on a server. The application program converts spectrophotometer measurements to a color space coordinate and stores the records cataloged by the color space coordinate in a database on the server. Storing color space coordinates of coloring substances on the server facilitates pairing of potential buyers and sellers. Additionally, storing color space coordinates on the server also results in a larger number of records, thus allowing for greater flexibility in revenue calculations.
