Abstract

"MéTODO E DISPOSITIVO PARA A DETERMINAçãO DA PERMEABILIDADE A GáS DE UM RECIPIENTE". A invenção refere-se a um método e a um dispositivo para a determinação da permeabilidade ao gás de um recipiente, por exemplo, uma garrafa de PET. O dito recipiente é envolvido por uma proteção que veda hermeticamente o recipiente contra o ambiente. O espaço intermediário entre o recipiente e a proteção, tem apenas um pequeno volume em comparação com o volume do recipiente. A determinação da permeabilidade ao gás é iniciada trazendo-se o dito espaço intermediário para, por exemplo, a pressão atmosférica, enquanto o recipiente é preenchido com um gás de teste por meio de uma alimentação especial, até o recipiente estar a uma sobre-pressão com relação ao espaço intermediário. A pressão no espaço intermediário aumenta por meio da difusão resultante do gás de teste através da parede do recipiente para dentro do dito espaço intermediário. O aumento na pressão por unidade de tempo é uma medida da permeabilidade.
