Abstract

"MéTODO E SISTEMA, PARA INICIAçãO DO IDLE HANDOFF EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçõES SEM FIO". Uma estação móvel se move da posição (205) para a posição (206), e considera a transferência (handing off) a partir de uma primeira estação base (204) para uma segunda estação base (203). Não se faz isso tão logo o sinal a partir da segunda estação base exceda o sinal a partir da primeira estação base por um parâmetro de projeto fixado. Ao invés disso, o parâmetro de projeto é tornado dependente das distâncias (208) e (210) entre a estação móvel e as estações base, de modo que o handoff é mais provável quanto mais próxima a estação móvel se torne da segunda estação base, e quanto mais longe ela se torne da primeira estação base.
