Abstract

This benefit has been observed for hydrocracking with noble or base metal catalysts. The improved selectivity was seen in low pressure as well as standard pressure operation. A decrease in the amount of light gas (C ~ 1 ~ -C ~ 4 ~) and an increase in the amount of liquid product produced were observed. Decoupling the saturation reactions of aromatic substances and hydrocracking also resulted in a significant improvement in the operationality of the process (ie, decreased leakage tendency) and in the control capacity and a reduction in the catalyst deactivation rate.
