Abstract
"SEPARADOR". Descreve-se um separador para separarpartículas arrastadas em um fluido. O separador inclui uma luvaadaptada para ser montada sobre um eixo mecânico rotativo, paraformar uma cavidade entre eles, uma entrada para a cavidade,uma desembocadura da cavidade e um meio para conferir umaforça centrífuga sobre o fluido dentro da cavidade. O meio paraconferir a força centrífuga é conectado operacionalmente ao eixomecânico, de tal modo que, funcionando, a rotação do eixomecânico cria a força centrífuga. Durante o uso, uma lama defluido e partículas entra na cavidade através da entrada, aspartículas são forçadas a separar-se do fluido pela ação da forçacentrífuga, e as partículas separadas e o fluido deixam a cavidadepela desembocadura, com as partículas tendendo a ficar maispróximas da luva do que do eixo mecânico.
