A presente invenção se relaciona aum eletrodo de autocozimento para uso em baixos-fornos elétricosde redução, e particularmente refere-se a um recipiente (1) para aformação de eletrodos de autocozimento para a utilização embaixos-fornos elétricos de redução, que possibilita a fabricação deligas de silício com conteúdo de ferro de até 0,35%,compreendendo um invólucro cilíndrico bipartido (11) contendo emseu interior uma pluralidade de aletas (12) uniformemente fixadasde modo perpendicular ao longo da superfície interna doinvólucro(11) no sentido longitudinal do invólucro cilíndrico,caracterizado pelo fato de que o invólucro cilíndrico (11) e asaletas (12) são construídos de chapas de aço inox. A invençãoainda se relaciona a um processo de formação de um eletrodo deauto-cozimento usando este recipiente assim como o eletrodoformado pelo mesmo.
