Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "CDMA óTICO QUE USA UMA ESTRUTURA DE MáSCARA EM CASCATA". Transmissores e receptores CDMA óticos incluem um modulador especial que utiliza um dispositivo de gradeamento de fibra codificado com código CDMA, definido pela presença ou ausência de gradeamentos em porções de freq³ência definidas. A presença de um filtro de gradeamento de fibra através de uma faixa próxima a uma freq³ência de chip particular define um chip "bit 0" e a ausência de um filtro de gradeamento de fibra em outra freq³ência de chip designa um chip de "bit 1". A combinação de gradeamentos seletivamente provida através da seq³ência de posições de chip usando o filtro define o código CDMA. Este dispositivo de gradeamento de fibra pode ser visto como cascata de muitos filtros de gradeamento de rejeição de banda cada um correspondendo ao bit de código CDMA no domínio espectral. Conseq³entemente, um transmissor CDMA inclui dois componentes, modulador de dados que modula uma fonte ótica de faixa ampla, por exemplo, uma fonte de fibra dopada com erbidium (EDFS) ou um diodo superluminescente (SLD), um dispositivo de filtro de gradeamento de fibra para, seletivamente, passar e bloquear porções em bloco do espectro da fonte ótica de faixa ampla.
