De acordo com esse processo, - conseguem-se periodicamente informações e elaboram-se valores das grandezas de percepção; - descrevem-se o estado e a evolução do processo por uma sucessão de fenómenos-processos detectados; - julga-se cada fenómeno-processo detectado em função de um contexto próprio, ele mesmo descrito por outros fenómenos-processos; e - enviam-se aos operadores informações unicamente quando o julgamento estabeleceu que são necessárias e oportunas nesse contexto para ajudar a manter ou a conduzir o processo em seus objetivos de produção.
