Abstract

In one embodiment, the temperature probe is supplied in a specially drilled hole through one of the components. In another embodiment, the temperature probe is supplied in a hole drilled in a fastener element that is normally used in assembly. The temperature probe includes an indicator pin that is mounted in a housing. When the components reach a dangerous temperature during operation, the indicator pin moves quickly out of the housing to alert a user that a dangerous temperature has been reached.
