Abstract

The process can be applied for the flotation of copper, copper-pyrites, copper-molybdenum, copper-zinc, lead and lead-zinc ores. It guarantees higher degree of mineral extraction without the use of depressors and activators. The process includes electrochemical ore treatment. Before the flotation, for the activation of the ore minerals, the ore is treated in the anode space of a diaphragm electrolyzer in a medium of anolyte produced by the electrolysis of water at current density of from 2 to 45 mA/cm? and voltage from 3 to 38 V for from 1 to 5 min under conditions of agitation. For the mineral depression, the ore is treated in the cathode space of a diaphragm electrolizer in a medium of catholyte produced in the electrolysis of water at current density from 2 to 45 mA/cm? and voltage from 3 to 38 V for from 1 to 7 min under conditions of agitation. Immediately after the treatment the pulp is subjected to flotation wherein summation and foam producing reagents are used.
