Abstract
Lovastatin is used in human and veterinary medicine. The method increases the yield of the final product. The culture broth (medium) is basified to pH 8.5. The mycelia is filtered and subjected to extraction treatment with alkaline water at room temperature and pH 8.5-9. There is a new filtering. The filtrates of the culture broth filtration and mycelial extraction are mixed. The combined filtrate is subjected to purification, which can be extraction in two variants, or membrane. The purified filtrate concentrated concurrent laconylation of lovastatin acid. Gaseous ammonia is passed through the concentrate containing lovastatin lactone and the resulting ballast residue is filtered. The filtrate is again concentrated to 1/10 of the original volume and cooled to -200 ° C. The crystallized lovastatin lactone is filtered. The crystals were dried under vacuum and recrystallized from ethyl acetate, butyl acetate or ethanol. Filtration of lovastatin lactone and drying under vacuum was then performed.
