Abstract

The metaloceramic products are used in industry for the manufacture of structural members and parts. They have high physicomechanical characteristics such as strength, rigidity, elasticity and impact strength. They consists of polycrystal ceramic matrix with filler included in it, the matrix containing basically the product of the oxidation reaction of the base metal with the oxidizer and optionally one or more metal components. The products are made using the method of the self-spreading high temperature synthesis and the base metal having a sector of positive from for imprinting and not subject to imprinting sector is placed in a layer of filler, is melted and oxidized by a gaseous oxidizer where a product from the oxidation reaction in the filler grows and the process continues until at least part of the product includes the filler by means of the product growth and the metaloceramic product formed has a shape imprinting the positive form of the base metal.
