Abstract
The oil is used to lubricate the gear drives of machines and transportation vehicles. It reduces the wear and the friction resistivity. The oil contains familiar additives, including sulphur, phosphorus and nitrogen, alkali-earth alkyl naphthalenesulphonates, dissolved silicon oils, acrylic acid polymerisates, and base oil with an average molecular weight of 370-740, containing 0.2 to 1.4 per cent, by weight, of sulphur, and with a viscosity factor of at least 80. The quantity of the paraffin-combined carbon atoms is at least 55 per cent and the quantity of the sulphide compounds is from 2 to 13 per cent, by weight, of the total quantity of the sulphur compounds.
