Preparation Of Compounds By Using Micro-Organisms
(AREA)
Abstract
This method is used for extracting human calcitonin via a recombination, which is necessary for preparing drug agents, and ensures the extraction of protein in a nutritious medium, where it is protected from the action of internal-cellular proteases. It is implemented like the synthetic oligomeric genes, encoding human calcitonin, which are connected in DNA sequence, encoding the signalling peptide of the yeast α-factor by a synthetic linker, supplying six additional amino acids. The derived hybrid genes are included in an expressive plasmid for transformation of the yeast cells.
