Abstract

This variator is used as a mechanic power accumulator in the transmission of an internal combustion engine. It ensures regular movement, enhanced variation range of the transmission relation, and enhanced load-carrying capacity. It consists of a wave generator with rolls, which consists of two ends (11) and one intermediate (12) disc, de-phased at 180 degrees C. Each disc is hinged to at least four rolls (5 and 6) with central incisions (13) and unilateral incisions (14 and 15), located symmetrically in relation to the central. The rolls shafted to the carrier (7) are parallel and located along the circumference axes, on which statically are attached cogwheels (9), attached to a central cogwheel (10). The rolls (5) of the end discs are de-phased at 180 degrees to the rolls (6) of the intermediate disc. One spring (16) is positioned in the unilateral incisions (14 and 15), which lie side by side.
