Treatments For Attaching Organic Compounds To Fibrous Goods
(AREA)
Abstract
The method concerns the textile industry. It is used to obtain uniformly dyed textile materials, made up of fibres with different physical structures, while achieving energy savings and reducing the time of the process through the use of a single supporting textile agent which unifies several processes into one. The reduced use of a supporting agent does not hamper the subsequent process steps. The method involves treating the material with a supporting textile agent and a dye. The supporting agent represents a combination of a sodium salt of dodecylbenzenesulphonic acid and ethoxylated fatty phthalic propylene diamine with 30 moles of ethylene oxide taken at a component ratio of 80:20, 75:25 or 90:10, and used in quantities equivalent to 1-5 percent of the material weight. The treatment with the supporting agent and the dyeing proceed simultaneously at a temperature between 100 and 120 degrees C for 40-80 minutes.
