Abstract

The method may be applied in the selection for seed production of heterose hybrids. It creates citoplasmic male sterile analogues, which enriches the fund of genes by clarifying the interaction effect between the nucleus of the cultivated sunflower with the citoplasm of the wild breed. The method cross-breeds the wild tetraploid H.scaberimus and Peredovic sunflower variety.
