Abstract

The method is applied in the chemical industry for extraction of vanadium from treated catalysts and derivation of pure divanadim pentoxide, vanadium catalysts and other useful products. It ensures a high level of vanadium extraction of vanadium in the finished product and an overall utilization of the treated catalyst along with the regeneration of the holder. The method: the treated vanadium catalyst is treated in a water solution of sulphuric acid in the presence of a reductor ions of vanadium (II) and the derived pulp is divided into a solution containing vanadium (IV), and a solid holder, vanadium (IV) in the solution is oxidized to vanadium (V). The latter is extracted with aliphatic amines into a non-soluble in water organic solvent, which in advance is treated with sulphuric acid with concentration of 60 to 70%, at volumetric proportion of 35-40:1. Vanadium (V) is reextracted with a water solution of ammonium in the presence of ammonium persulphate, where the effect is an organic and water phases containing a solid ammonium vanadate, while the organic phase is sent to the stage of extraction, while the water phase is filtered to residual humidity of the ammonium vanadate 50-60% and in the derived layer of ammonium vanadate is passed a solution of sulphuric acid until extraction of divanadium pentoxide and a solution of ammonium sulphate, which is subject to evaporation and crystallization.
