Abstract

The device is applicable for use in TV studio processing equipment for all standard systems transmitting chrominance, especially for SECAM systems, where the mix is carried out with no frequency resolution of the chrominance signal nor its demodulation. An adaptive method is used to establish the level of a graphic signal, in accordance with a well known method. The adaptation to the signal is extended in relation to the optimal end contrast of the inserted graph, in comparison to the current brightness, which also adds to the new inserted image transparency. The device makes use of simplified and reliable translators at the input video signal levels with terminal key treatment, where, apart from good stability and precision, a better signal/noise ratio is obtained, because the processing channel is closed in the absence of an inserting signal.
