Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a system for managing and providing legal information that can find application in law firms. What has been designed is a legal information management and provision system, which consists of a cloud-based global database server connected via the Internet to electronic devices. The electronic devices are n number of electronic client devices (III) and n number of electronic lawyer devices (VI). The electronic lawyer devices (VI) are connected bidirectionally to a system (IV), which is connected bidirectionally to personal database modules (II). Personal database modules (II) are connected bidirectionally to the global database server (1). The electronic lawyer devices (VI), the global database server (I) and the electronic client devices (III) are connected bidirectionally to self-initiated search mechanism module (V), as between the modules personal database (ІІ) is realized an indirect connection.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGEMENT AND PROVISION OF LEGAL INFORMATION

The invention relates to a method and system for managing the provision of legal information that can be used in law firms.

PRIOR ART

Methods and systems for communication between legal offices and exchange of information via communication devices are known from the prior art.

From CA 2297495, a method of providing legal services over the Internet while maintaining and providing an attorney/client website is known. A method of providing legal services over a computer network, comprising: providing a web site accessible to network users via multiple client terminals connected to a server. The server is adapted for receiving and sending e-mail messages, storing a database of e-mail addresses for lawyers; receiving online payment of funds from the user; searching the lawyer database and displaying the search results to the user. Users receive an email response after paying a subscription fee.

CA 2491091 discloses a method and system for processing information for including and providing users with automated services for increasing knowledge in the legal field. The system is adapted to provide legal information and classified information related to individual topics in the field and consists of a cloud-based database server connected via the Internet to users' electronic devices. The invention provides systems, methods, and computer programs for fulfilling requests from users of current awareness systems for information related to legal topics identified by inquirers from a list of available legal topics. The information related to the available topics is classified by types and at least two types of information related to the specified topic and provided to the applicant. The invention ensures the updating of information in a selected legal topic without additional actions on the part of the applicant. The information provided by the system was displayed in a separate window on the computer.

Compared to the inventions known so far, the claimed method and system for managing and providing legal information analyzes and provides the necessary information to the user with just one click in the application on his electronic device.

TECHNICAL ESSENCE OF THE INVENTION

The task of the invention is to create a method and system for managing and providing legal information, which allows for quick and efficient work with clients, providing the necessary information related to issues in the field of law.

The method of managing and providing legal information includes the following operations: the lawyer's electronic device communicates / works with the system in which he adds his clients, cases, contracts. The client's electronic device connects to the system only when the lawyer's electronic device shares a file, contract, payment order, or needs to pay a specific fee through the system's electronic tool. The system saves all data submitted by the lawyer's electronic device in a personal database module, only the lawyer's electronic device accesses the personal database module, after judgment only the lawyer's electronic device can provide information to the other personal database modules. The global database server collects and processes service information, such as the number of sessions, users, shares, cash flow values, paid and unpaid fees, time spent in the system, names and passwords, other statistical information received through the electronic devices of customers and electronic devices of lawyers through the system in their personal database modules. The server with the global database periodically submits structured data to the module, the self-initiating mechanism, which processes the data and in turn, under specific conditions, notifies each user of the system by email or other means of communication about basic principles.

The system for managing and providing legal information consists of a cloud-based server global database connected via the Internet to electronic devices. According to a variant implementation of the system, the lawyer's electronic device includes sequentially and functionally connected calendar module, query module, contract module, project module, execution module and invoicing module, with the invoicing module being directly connected to the calendar module.

The calendar module consists of two sub-modules, personal and official, with contracts and events included in them. The inquiry module consists of a client request sub-module. The contract module consists of three subscription sub-modules, a contract with a lawyer for the assignment of ad hoc work and legal representation. The project module consists of a project cost sub-module, including project management and implementation costs, taxes, available amount, metrics and service notifications, for each trackable parameter. The implementation module consists of a reference sub-module including activities, project cost and cash flow management, within each project and overall for the activity. The invoice module consists of a bank sub-module including reference and notifications for due paid and unpaid invoices.

EXEMPLARY IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INVENTION

The method of managing and providing legal information includes the following operations: the electronic device of the VI lawyer communicates / works with the system in which he adds his clients, projects, consultations, cases, contracts. The client's electronic device III connects to the system IV only when the lawyer's electronic device VI shares with him a file, contract, payment order, invoice (payment document) or needs to pay a specific fee through the system's embedded electronic payment tool. System IV stores all data submitted by the electronic device of the lawyer VI in the personal database module II, only the electronic device of the lawyer VI accesses the electronic device of the personal database II, at the discretion the electronic device of the lawyer VI may provide information to the other modules of the personal database data II. The global database server I collects and processes operational information such as the number of sessions, users, cases, cash flow values, paid and unpaid fees, time spent in the system, names and passwords, other statistical information received through the electronic devices of customers III and lawyers' electronic devices VI through the system IV in their personal database modules II. The global database server 1 periodically feeds structured data to a module self-initiating mechanism V, which processes the data and in turn, under specific conditions, notifies each user of the system by email or other means of communication and notifications about basic principles, trends and metrics related to the overall management of the lawyer's activity.

The project module 4 consists of a sub-module project cost 4.1., including project management and implementation costs, taxes, available amount, metric and service notifications, for each traceable parameter.

Implementation module 5 consists of sub-module reference 5.1., including activities, project cost and cash flow management, within each project and overall for the activity.

The invoice module 6 consists of the bank sub-module 6.1., including reference and notifications for due paid and unpaid invoices.

Lawyer VI's electronic device is a smartphone and/or tablet and/or desktop computer and/or notebook computer.

PRINCIPLE OF ACTION OF THE INVENTION

Personal database module - a space containing the entire practice of a lawyer

System - a virtual interface for database operations (creating cases, adding files, signing contracts, sending emails, managing payments and cash flow).

Global database server - a repository of official information that is not personal to a lawyer.

Self-initiating mechanism module - a mechanism that is set up to process the data, analyze it and derive regularities based on set criteria, experience, statistical information. He is tasked with giving ideas, advice, statistics, notifications and recommendations on his own initiative to each lawyer and/or client (depending on the setting).

The electronic device of the lawyer communicates / works with the system in which he adds his clients, cases, contracts, etc.

The client's electronic device has contact with the system only when the lawyer's electronic device shares a file, contract, payment order or needs to pay a specific fee through an electronic tool of the system.

The system saves all data submitted by the lawyer's electronic device in a personal database for security reasons. No one other than the lawyer's electronic device has access to this database and it always remains his.

The individual modules of personal databases are interconnected, but they are not direct and bidirectional. They take place only when a lawyer decides to share a case, a client, a document with another colleague. Then the information becomes available to another personal database module. But the two bases remain independent of each other in time.

The global database server is intended to collect and process service information such as number of sessions, users, cases, cash flow values, paid and unpaid fees, time spent in the system, names and passwords, other statistical information received through the electronic devices of customers, lawyers' electronic devices through the system in their personal database modules.

The information in the global database server will not constitute personal information. The global database server periodically feeds structured data to the module - a self-initiated mechanism.

Modula - a self-initiated mechanism, processes the data and in turn, under specific conditions, notifies the lawyer by means of email or another means of communication and notifications regarding basic principles, trends and metrics related to the overall management of the lawyer's activity.

The method of managing and providing legal information is characterized by the fact that it includes the following operations: the electronic device of the lawyer adds his events, clients, cases, contracts, payments to the system; the client's electronic device (III) connects to the system (IV) when the lawyer's electronic device (VI) shares with him an event, file, contract, payment order, invoice (payment document) or needs to pay a specific fee through an embedded electronic payment tool of the system, the system (IV) saves all data submitted by the lawyer's electronic device in the personal database module (II), the lawyer's electronic device (IV) accesses the personal database module (II) after judgment, the lawyer's electronic device ( VI) provides information to modules personal database (II) through the system (IV), the server with the global database (I) collects and processes service information and statistical information received through electronic devices of clients (III) and electronic devices of lawyers (VI) ) the server with the global database (I) feeds periodically structured data to, the module - self-initiating mechanism (V), self-initiating mechanism m, processes the data and, in turn, under specific conditions, notifies the lawyer via email or other means of communication and notifications regarding basic principles, trends and metrics related to the overall management of the lawyer's activity. 2. The system according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the implementation module (5) of the electronic device of the lawyer (VI) consists of a reference sub-module (5.1) including activities, project cost and cash flow management, within each project and overall for the activity. 9. The system according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the invoice module (6) of the lawyer's electronic device (VI) consists of a bank sub-module (6.1) including reference and notifications for due paid and unpaid invoices. 10.
