Abstract

The invention is in the field of the food industry and finds an application in drying herbs, mushrooms, fruits and vegetables by using only solar energy. The invention constitutes a method and device-dryer for fully autonomous drying with forced ventilation of products, with solar energy, whereby a fan (4), powered by a photovoltaic panel (3), draws in air from the ambient environment and creates a forced continuous air flow which passes through an air solar collector (2), so that the air is heated, after which it passes through an open drying chamber (15), in which are placed the products for drying. In the drying chamber (15) is placed a sensor for temperature and moisture (11), whose signals are passed to a controller (12), which controls the air flow, so that a relatively constant drying temperature can be maintained. The device can be installed everywhere, without the need for another energy source. The device can be implemented in a monoblock version or a split system, depending on the specific situation.
