Abstract

The wind energy system on a self-leveling floating platform is intended for electricity production by utilizing free wind energy. It has wind turbines on a pontoon platform. The main advantages of the wind energy system on a self-leveling floating platform come from the lightweight, stable, and automatically self-leveling platform, due to which the rotors of the wind turbines are always optimally oriented in the wind direction, which achieves significantly higher electricity production, and as an end result the cost of the produced electric energy is considerably reduced. The wind energy system on a self-leveling floating platform includes a main pole with a foundation (1), fixed to the seafloor, wind turbines (2), mounted on a support structure (3), placed around the main pole with a foundation (1) and fixed with ropes (4) to it. It is characterized by the fact that the ends of all ropes (4 and 5), through adjusting devices (7), are connected to the main pole with a foundation (1), whereby each adjusting device (7) is connected to a respective control output of an automatic programmable leveling unit (9). 3 claims, 1 figure
