Abstract
The device can be used in repair works of the opencast coal mining in the mining industry, as well as in briquette factories, for the repair of shaft of drying drums in the place of their assembly. It is used for the repair of the end bearing journals with dia. under 600 mm of shafts and axles of unlimited lengths, the disassembly and repair of which are highly labour consuming, inaccurate, and sometimes impossible. The use of the said device ensures the attainment of coaxiality of the treated journal to the shaft axis, as well as the stepless adjustment of the revolutions of the operating cylinder, supporting the cutting tool, by the pneumatic motor, having fine characteristics. The manual feeding of the cutting tool by means of nut-and-screw mechanism allows the effect of optimum mode of cutting. In addition, no lubrication and sealing is required. The device comprises an inner cylinder (8), fixed to shaft (9) on which, in a mobile manner, by bodies with ball bearings, a second operating cylinder (7) is fitted, carrying the cutting tool (1). The connection of cylinder (8) to shaft (9) is implemented by bolts, allowing the attainment of coaxiality, and the diving the operating cylinder (7) is rotatively effected, and adjustable by pneumatic motor (6) and gears (3), and translational, manual and adjustable by means of a nut-and-screw mechanism (4 and 5). 1 claim, 4 figures
