Abstract

The invention relates to a method for making briquettes of charcoal made of small wooden particles and other organic wastes, as well as to an installation for its materialization. The method and the installation can find application in the production of charcoal briquettes of small-sized wooden particles and organic wastes, such as wooden dust, shavings, straw, sunflower stems and others. By the method the wooden particles and the organic waste are dried, undergo pyrolysis, and the coal produced is cooled and ground wherever necessary. The coal powder is mixed with water and a binder, is briquetted and dried. The pyrolytic process is made in two stages: basic and supplementary pyrolysis. Drawing of the raw material and the basic pyrolysis are made in an apparatus, with direct processing of the product with a mixture of hot pyrolytic and fume gases. This mixture is produced in supplying heated air and combusting fumes in advance. The installation comprises a basic pyrolysis unit (1), coal separation unit (9), first supplementary pyrolysis reactor (11), wooden coal cooling unit (13), briquette-moulding unit (15), briquette drying unit (17) and air preparation unit (2).
