Abstract

The invention relates to liquid mucoadhesive pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of mucous membrane and can find application in the medical practice in the form of oral, ocular, rectal, vaginal, nasal and periodontal medicamentous preparations. The composition contains, in wt.%, biologically active substance from 0.01 to 10.00, mucoadhesive substance from 0.01 to 10.00, preservative from 0.01 to 5.00, NaCl 0.10-0.90 and phosphatic buffer with pH 5-7 to 100, and has relative viscosity from 5.00 to 500.00, and relative adhesive capacity from 105.0 to 120.0. The mucoadhesive composition has easy diffusion, good resorption and improved bioanalytic properties. It has longer presence over the mucous membrane, and therapeutic effect can also be achieved using lower doses.
