Abstract

The invention relates to a composition adhering to the stomach-duodenum mucous membrane wherein release of the active substance is possible for a long period of time. Sufficient effect is attained of the active substance using a small dose. The composition contains active substance acting in the stomach and/or the duodenum, and a component selected from among water-insoluble polymers, polyglycerol fatty acid esters, lipids and waxes; it is covered by a polymer which is capable of adhering to the surface of the mucous membrane of the digestive tract under acidic conditions and to be reduced under neutral or alkaline conditions. 4 claims, 5 figures
