Abstract

In building of a wall (28, 30) or a door (32) of a transport vehicle such as a trailer (22) or a van a new type of composite plate (board) (20) is used made of a pair of metal coatings (40, 42) such as aluminium of steel, which have foamed thermoplastic core (44) pressed between them. Coatings (40, 42) are connected to core (44) by some elastic adhesive (46). The foamed thermoplastic core (44) is elastic and can be made of foam high or low density thermoplastic. Foaming of the core (44) reduces the weight of the plate (board) (20), increases the resistance of its coating and minimizes the shearing stress in the adhesive layer between the core and the coating thus reducing the risk of potential unsticking between the metal coatingss (40, 42) and the thermoplastic core (44) in case of temperature changes. 20 claims, 3 figures
