Abstract
The invention relates to modified plants with increased activity for starch production as a result of the changes in the concentration of one or more of the metabolites participating in the glycolysis and the TCA cycle in the plant. The effect can be attained, for example, by genetic modification for reducing the NAD apple enzyme reduction activity. 24 claims
