Abstract

The invention relates to the usage of nutritive lactic acid product produced by the fermentation of fresh milk with Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus strain, selected from the group of LBB.B144- No. 287 of NBIMCC and LBB.B5 - No. 273 of NBIMCC, containing no less than 106 cfu/m live cells. The product is used as a formulation for the prevention of cancerogenesis in mammals by improving their diet by factors capable of preventing the induction and development of malignant tumours for prevention of cancer in humans. It solves the problem of finding such strains of lactic acid bacteria in particular such isolated from Bulgarian yoghourt by which lactic acid products can be produced, which simultaneously are acceptable as food, i. e. having suitable organoleptic qualities and forming clearly expressed anticancerogenous effect in the organism of mammals, including humans. 9 claims
