Abstract
The composition is in the form of a paste and is used incivil engineering for quick-drying hydroinsulation coatings. It isa bitumen aqueous emulsion in which the emulsifier is acombination of bentonite, Ca(OH)2 and fibrous additive havingfibre lengths from 0.1 to 5 mm which can be organic and/orinorganic. The quantitative ratio of the components, in wt.pts. isas follows: bitumen from 35 to 55, bentonite from 1 to 8, Ca(OH)2from 0.5 to 6. fibrous additive from 0.1 to 5, water from 30 to55, and the fillers are from 0 to 25. When the fibrous additive isa combination of organic and inorganic fibres, the weight ratio isfrom 1:1 to 1:100. Marl or basalt or glass wool, or slag or groundtechnical asbestos are used as inorganic fibrous additive, andpolypropylene or polyester fibres are used as organic fibrousadditive.
