Abstract
The asynchronous electric motor is built in smale-andmedium-power machines. Its design is simplified and it attainsmaximum cooling at minimum distruption of the magnetic flux in therotor, and it can simultaneously operate in a dusty atmosphere.The electric motor consists of a closed housing (1) to which alefthandside (2) and a righthandside (3) cover are fitted. Thehousing houses a stator (4) with a rotor (6) fitted in it, drivenon a shaft (7) on the periphery of which inlet (9) and outlet (10)grooves are machined having trough-like form. Three coolinggrooves (11) of kidney-like section fitted at 120° from each otherare machined along the whole length of rotor (6). A lefthandside(14) and a righthandside (13) spacer are fitted between theinternal surfaces of the lefthandside (2) and righthandside (3)cover. Outside the lefthandside cover (2) an external fan (15) isfitted on shaft (7) having inner (18) and outer (17) blades. Anair filter (20) enveloping the inlet grooves (9) and covered bycap (21) having muliple holes is fitted to the external wall ofthe righthandside cover (3).5 claims, 4 figures
