Abstract

The plastic crate (10) is designed for the packaging and shipment of fruit and vegetables. Holes (20) and walls (14, 16) are formed on its bottom (12). Each hole (20) is bordered by a protruding part (22) hot moulded and outward orientated. On at least two of the corners of bottom (12) a protruding part (22a) surrounding hole (20a) is able to penetrate into a vertical groove getting across an angular support (18) of an adjacent lower crate when many crates are fitted one on top of the other. At least on the bottom of the crate protrusions (24) or one protrusion divided among the protruding parts (22) are formed in inwards direction in it by the hot moulding method.
