Abstract

The derivatives of naphthalene have the formula where R1 and R2 are identical or different and each is a hydrogen atom or protected and unpotected hydroxygroup; one of the radicals R3 & R4 is a protected or unprotected hydroxymethyl group, and the other - hydrogen atom, lower alkyl group or protected or unprotected hydroxymethyl group; R5 & R6 are identical or different and each is a hydrogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted lower alkyl group, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group, or protected or unprotected aminogroup, or both are combined togehter with the adjacent nitrogen atom forming a substituted or unsubstituted heterocylic group. The invention also relates to their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. The compounds show excellent inhibition effect on the bronchostenosis and are useful for the asthma prophylaxy or treatment.
