Abstract

La couverture est préfabriquée à partir d'une gaine extrudée en matière plastique thermorétractable, dans l'un des flancs (3) de laquelle est découpée une bande médiane (2). Les bords transversaux (6,8, 7,9) sont ensuite soudés aux ultra-sons. Après avoir glissé dans la couverture les feuillets d'extrémité d'un livre, on adapte les dimensions de la couverture à celles du livre à protéger par application d'une chaleur rasante.
