Abstract
A composite panel for thermal insulation incorporates a sheet of thermoplastic material converted by moulding or by a forming roll nip tc a corrugated profile. The sheet is covered on cne face with a reflective surface, e.g. aluminium, and on the other face with a layer of glass or mineral wool. The corrugations serve to increase the rigidity of the panel along one axis while pref. allowing it to be coiled for storage or transport. The core sheet may be of an alternative rigid or semi rigid ductile material, e.g. steel. Opt. mfr. of the panels may be associated with layers of other materials, esp. if integrated with continuous or discontinuous processes for mfr. of cellular materials by the same claimants. The panel may be prefabricated with perforations, to permit ventilation where desired or otherwise to be washed by e.g. adhesive tape.
Description
PLAQUE SANDWICH SEMI-RIGIDE ou RIGIDE POUR
ISOLATION THERMIQUE DANS LE BATIMENT ou AUTRES .
PLAQUE SANDWICH SEMI-RIGIDE ou RIGIDE POUR ISOLATION
<EMI ID=1.1>
d'isolation thermique .
SEMI-RIGID or RIGID SANDWICH PLATE FOR
THERMAL INSULATION IN THE BUILDING or OTHER.
SEMI-RIGID or RIGID SANDWICH PLATE FOR INSULATION
<EMI ID = 1.1>
thermal insulation. Some, such as rock wool or polyester fiber, are sold in rolls and have drawbacks to placement, particularly on the inner beams of a roof structure: -Obligation to place bottom
above, need for many fixing points ...,. On the other hand, rigid or semi-rigid insulators such as bakelized rock wool or expanded polystyrene sheets are known which partially overcome the drawbacks of the rolls mentioned above, but have the defect, for bakelized rock wool, of to be of significant cost, and for expanded polystyrene, to be flammable.
The proposed new process must meet the various drawbacks noted above.
BASIC PRINCIPLE .
it is an embodiment of a sandwich whose particularity, in this case, is to have a core in the form of a thermoplastic plate having been deformed by pressure between two striated cylinders so that the plate has grooves
providing it with semi-rigidity or total rigidity.
