Abstract

The air deflector is for heavy vehicles and it is movable to follow the shape of hauled trailers. This adjustment can be done without leaving the driving cabin. It can also be used on vehicles not hauling trailers. The deflector is shaped as an aerofoil, pivoted at its centre in a line across the vehicle longitudinal axis. The adjustment is by tilting the aerofoil through a system of rods, through the cab roof to a pivoted control lever, held in a frame. Seals are fitted where the roof is penetrated.
